SHOULD WE REDUCE FOOD INTAKE AS WE AGE?

As people age, they tend to eat less. Loss of appetite for the average person is often linked to sickness and psychological dilemma or a burning desire to lose weight. While this may be reversible for younger persons (with a cure of their disease or a changing of mindset regarding the weight loss), for elderly it tends to be permanent.
